UK citizens - British citizens can travel to Austria without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period for the following reasons: Tourism, Visiting family or friends, Business meetings, Cultural or sports events, and Short-term studies or training. 

However, there are some requirements to meet: 

  • Your passport must be valid for at least three months from the date you intend to leave the EU. 

  • Your passport must have been issued within the last ten years. 

  • You cannot start any gainful employment or work in Austria without a visa or residence permit.

EU citizens - Visitors from the EU and Switzerland can enter Austria without a visa, as long as they have a valid passport or identity card.
